Shakira has a heart of Gold That's why we love her so Much!
Shakira founded Pies Descalzos to help the needed. The goal is to bring food and help the poor. Shakira was in Armenia(Quindio) where a big earthquake took thousands of lives and left many people without a place to live. She also helped when Huracans Mitch and George hit Central-America. She also created Schools and Hospitals for families with a low income.
Shakira said: "Pies descalzos is an association that was created at the end of 1997, there we do activities to collect money, this money goes to the foundations that help the poor unprotected children of my country, Places that help children with heart conditions, with aids, leuchimia, and the homeless children and, also children whose father had died in combat
lPies Descalzos has the goal to protect the homeless children. I Have not yet achieved all my dreams with this foundation, but at least we have placed the first rock. I had a concert in "El Campin" and all the money went to different places that help the children in Colombia. That is My dream: make someday my carreer go beyond and get people to work with me in this ship because we have to put our eyes in our children, besides my maternal instint is very strong.
