Other entrepreneurs are already circling the sector, including Allsports founder David Hughes, who is in the process of raising 20m to start a retail chain catering for larger sizes.

A further five stores are planned later this year, with rumblings that there could be one in Manchester's Arndale.
And Simply Be are also tuned in to the fact larger women want high end, designer fashion too.
It isn't only big business which is getting in on the act.

He said he wanted to set up a salon where overweight people would feel comfortable. But the Kent based hairdresser has also turned a 'growing' population into a business.
N Brown, the Manchester catalogue giant, is storming ahead with a high street expansion of its web success Simply Be after the successful pilot of stores in Liverpool and at The Rock, Bury.
Simply Be which offers stylish clothing for women in sizes 14 to 22 enjoyed an 11 per cent surge in trading in December.
"The roll out of Simply Be and Jacamo brands, operating under the N Brown group, have been generally well received by the market," says James F Igoe, a stockbroker at Xcap Securities.
Tricky Roderick is creative director at Nike Jacket White And Gold Trade Secret Hair Salon in Manchester's Arndale and says while they don't have extra wide chairs, the salon does provide various sized gowns for clients.

Kendrick adds: "We are expanding the brand's channel mix to include the high street which ensures greater brand awareness and encourages potential customers to shop for the brand for the first time."
Listening to complaints from his larger clients about how uncomfortable they felt in hair salons filled with glamorous, slim women, he decided to open a salon especially for them.
"We're committed to providing a fashion solution for women of all shapes and sizes, making sure they can shop in comfort and with confidence."
Take hairstylist Bashar Brown, who spotted a golden opportunity within the hairdressing industry and was quick to capitalise.
Brown went out and sourced the widest stylist chairs on the market and bought extra large hairdressing capes to fit the largest of ladies.
Traditional retailers are also recognising the importance of serving their established customers, with larger sizes of school uniform now readily available to meet the needs of a 'growing' pupil population.
The company has certainly done its homework when it comes to making the larger customer feel comfortable and therefore happy to part with their money.
